2026 CAPITAL OUTLAY

When it came to our $2.5 million in our district’s funds, here’s how we spent it

Public Safety($300,000) We made significant investments in upgrading police technology equipment and the construction of Fire Station 8, strengthening the emergency services our community depends on daily.

Housing($300,000) We invested in the renovation of the Westside Emergency Housing Shelter, which is converting  a commercial building into new housing units. With housing costs continuing to rise, and shelter capacity stretched thin, this project ensures our most vulnerable neighbors have access to safe housing.

Education($550,000) We made significant investments in classroom improvements, new public address and communications systems, and security fencing, which are crucial upgrades that make our schools safer and more functional for students and staff.

Parks & Recreation($500,000) We invested in the next phase of the Juan Tabo Hills Park as well as a dedicated pickleball complex at Manzano Mesa. These projects expand access to recreational spaces across the district.

Infrastructure Improvements ($575,000) This funding supports lighting along Central Ave, design work for the Juan Tabo/Southern Boulevard intersection, as well as crucial improvements to the Carnuel water system which
